Ben and Doug sat down 8 years ago and started writing music together. After going through
drummers like Spinal Tap, they finally found Dave and formed Blendur in 1997. John joined Blendur
that summer as a second guitarist and gave the band a fuller sound.
They've been playing clubs and bars in Richmond like Alley Katz, Canal Club, and Humphrey J's.
Recently recording their first cd, "Good Morning", the band plans to expand their fan base along the
east coast and do some touring to promote the debut album. They've gotten the opportunity to open
for Java-Soup in Wilmington, NC at a club called Charlie Brownz. Java-Soup is a band from Virginia
Tech who has opened up for national acts like the Deftones.
Java-Soup also has agreed to open up for our cd release party. The party will take place July 21st
at Alley Katz. It's going to have a Mardi Gras theme, over 500 beads, an 800 balloon drop during the
first song, prize giveaways, and decorations thoughout the club. We would like to thank Leslie at Fat
